The Client

The client, a ground service equipment manufacturing company in a competitive international market, manufactures ground service equipments, Air conditioning equipments & other high valued equipments for Aerodromes and supplies it to customers who are located across the world and operates with headquarters in Bangalore.

The Business Requirement

The client involved in the manufacturing, sales and service of ground service equipment around the globe, finds that some of their customers face ad-hoc repairs and faults. The client however faces difficulty in fixing or rectifying such discrepancies with quick TAT. The customers essentially need a quick fault recognition solution that can be done by a GPS enabled device, to monitor the discrepancies and trigger alerts, to fix the problem immediately through remote diagnostics.

The Solution Implementation

The Trinetra Wireless – Fleet Management, Mobility and IoT Solutions team understood that the client needed to monitor in real-time their various ground service equipment (GSE) with location information and on key parameters for identifying faults. They were handicapped by their inability to view such information in real time. They needed immediate intelligent data analysis for quick decision-making with efficient high valued asset monitoring solution.

With the Asset Monitoring solution provided by Trinetra the client now was able to monitor GSE with location and in real-time, to make immediate intelligent data analysis & reporting, for quick decision-making and diagnostics. This in turn helped them to deploy their service maintenance team in time to reduce downtime of the equipment.

Productivity is found to increase by 40 per cent by constantly monitoring the critical parameters and alarm system along with real-time diagnosis of information on fault occurrence. Being the OEM of the GSE, the client provides this Asset monitoring and remote diagnostics solution as a Value Addition for their customers.

Trinetra provided the Equipment Management PaaS Solution by integrating the existing monitoring device with the software application. Thus the software provides an efficient Asset tracking solution by remote diagnostics and by sending a command from the application, by monitoring prime parameters of the GSE under any critical situation. As there are high valued customers are satisfied and AMC signups increase, they are planned to implement 500+ licenses for all their customers.

Client is one of the leading manufacturers of Aviation ground support equipment in Coimbatore, such as manufacturing power generators, airport tractors & various power units. The client designs & manufactures various different models of their own electronic devices to monitor and measure key parameters and activities of their equipments.

Business Need

Client’s major obstacle was to monitor in real time their various ground support equipments location information, key parameters and faults. Even though the client manufacturers customized electronic hardware to adapt to each type of their ground service equipment, they were handicapped by the inability to view information in real time, immediate intelligent data analysis & reporting for decision making was also not available. This led to delays in deploying their service teams for any maintenance and also risks more wear and tear to their ground service equipments in case of any faults.

Solution Implementation

The technical challenge faced with this client was that they had various types of GPS based data acquisition devices. Trinetra designed a device management layer and framed a protocol for the various devices that the client was deploying so that uniformity can be maintained across devices. The client was then provided with Trinetra PaaS (Platform as a Service) Solution, customized on top of the existing Trinetra Product framework and this enabled the client to use the software application without changing their existing hardware devices. A mobile app on Android and iOS was also developed for their needs.
